Mitsubishi introduced three variants of Mirage city car with three variants namely Exceed-CVT Mirage, Mirage and Mirage GLS-CVT-5MT GLX with the difference in transmissions, interiors and braking systems.
PT Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors (KTB) Mirage to sell on the road price range of Rp139 million to Rp165 million.
"Mitsubishi will launch the vehicle in the city car segment which has a good market, called Mirage," said Rizwan Alamsjah Executive Marketing Director at a press conference in Jakarta, Monday (17/9).
According to Rizwan, the vehicle will be introduced to the people of Indonesia at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) in Jakarta Fairground, Kemayoran.
Technology brings Mirage MIVEC engine which has a capacity of 1193 CC engine, 12 valve DOHC with three cilinder and powerful 77 horsepower.
KTB Rizwan target Mirage may sell as many as 1,000 units / month.
Until now KTB confessed Mitsubishi Mirage could produce as much as 150 thousand units / year for the entire world.
The vehicle according to Rizwan is fully imported from Thailand.
For Mitsubishi Mirage are booked in Thailand has reached 33 thousand units, while in Japan has booked as many as 5 thousand units.
"To sum Mirage booked in Indonesia itself has about 2 thousand vehicles," said Rizwan.
Rizwan claimed by application of the technology of the Mitsubishi, Mirage is believed to be able to compete in the city car market with other brands.
"The problem is not in the larger horsepower as rival Mirage, but our target is to provide eco car, convenient and practical vehicle," said Rizwan.
In IIMs, KTB will provide testing facilities to visitors driving Mirage yng car show event was held on 20 to 30 September 2012.
