Windows 8 Tablet Coming From Nokia

antartikaraya@blogspot.com.- Nokia, of course focused on Windows Phone 8 and we have seen the official announcement of two new Windows Phone 8 devices. So when it comes to an interview that Nokia CEO Stephen Elop was present, he of course asked about the format of the next device that is on everyone's mind - tablets. This is what Elop had to say on the matter:

“We have not announced any tablets, but I think the opportunity is very clear…People today increasingly are looking for a common digital experience between their smartphone and tablet, with a PC, and with their gaming platform, and so there’s clearly an opportunity across there. This is something that we’re looking at very closely.”

If Nokia is working on a Windows 8 tablet, and it does not sound like they were, it would not be the first time for the (former) Finnish giant. Some of our readers, if not many, will remember the Nokia Booklet 3G which has brought hope to many. This ultimately leads to no avail but then at least the device itself is well presented all the features promised.

Elop went on to say that Microsoft's dedication to making the platform a great time to get into the computer business. Integrated experience across platforms make it easy for anyone to jump between devices because other screen size difference, most other things remain the same. And if you rely solely on the Metro interface (or Windows 8 interface, such as Microsoft call it now), it will be the same no matter where you go.

Windows 8 is actually the best bet every company should jump format devices such as smartphones to tablets and beyond. Anyone who works with the version of Windows 8 is theoretically have the necessary platform to build a computing device.
