"What we do is live in hope and hopefully this week we will reveal some of the plan," said Wood.
Richards said this week that the Stones had met to "some exercise", but would not go so far as to say when a quartet consisting of himself, Jagger, Charlie Watts and Wood will appear in public again.
"We're playing around with the idea and have some exercise - we got together and it feels so good," said Richards publicly funded British broadcaster BBC.
